Encyclopedia is probably the most useful book ever invented. It’s a general source of knowledge, very useful when you’re searching for ‘anchors‘ – references and short information about specific subject that would allow you to learn the general background of the term and point you to other, more detailed sources of info. The New Encyclopedia of the Occult by John Michael Greer is such encyclopedia for people interested in the occult.
