Look at the civilization today – technology meant to make our life easier is everywhere, eliminating our need to think – you don’t have to read, learn, remember, machines will do this for you. The overwhelming technological advancement is making our minds weak, making us more susceptible to stress and fear, but the most dangerous thing we see these days, is the way people are turning their backs on spirituality. Yesterday I asked myself a question: what do I really believe in (regarding spiritual matters), do I believe in God? I realized I never really thought about it since I turn away from the Christian religion, so I decided to meditate on this and find out what I really believe in. Turns out I believe in God ;). Recently I was wondering about general self-improvement and human development. We all want to improve ourselves (that’s probably why you’re reading this), we all want to be a better people. But I realized that some people think they can focus on physical development, and forget about other aspects of life, and vice versa – they think they can focus on their mind, and forget about body. This isn’t a good approach, as domination of one aspect over another isn’t a natural state – a balance between them is. (more…)
Having a constant reminder of your dreams is a good motivation technique. One of such reminders is Vision Board. For those who are not familiar with this term, you should definitely read The Secret (or watch the movie
if you prefer). But sometimes it’s impossible to create a full-size vision board, either because we have no free space in our room or we don’t want to share our dreams with our roommate in student’s hostel for example. Fortunately, there is a way out of this, and it is called a “Goal Bowl“. (more…)
Simplifying life is an essential skill for someone who think about psychic and personal development. Eliminating personal commitments, and finding alternatives for different elements of your life is an useful thing too, not just because it will give you more time to do what you actually love, but it will also make you much more productive, because you won’t be wasting time on thinking how much you hate all of this useless stuff ;).
