Disclaimer & Disclosure
Running a website focusing on psychic development is a delicate matter, and there are voices that I’m doing all of this just for money. Claiming that one is doing something just for money is (unfortunately) normal, especially in case of psychic abilities – we all know psychics that will read your future for $60 per hour. Because I want to be honest with you, I have decided to write this disclaimer.
So what do I get from this site?
A State of Mind is giving me a lot – of course, you want details – so here they are:
Money – Yes, I do make money from this blog. A State of Mind is my full-time business. I spent money on coffee, food, domain, server, bills and my own further training. Here’s how I make money:
- Google AdSense – context advertisement within posts, I got paid when ad is clicked
- Amazon Affiliates – affiliate links to books within posts, I got commission from every sale
- E-book sales - I have published few e-books, and I’m selling them online.
- Psychic services - I also provide paid psychic services.
Friends – Thanks to this blog, I have met a lot of nice people, with a lot of knowledge in different fields – psychics, paranormal, even websites development and politics (indeed).
Satisfaction – Sometimes more, sometimes less, but I really enjoy this blog. Creating it is my way of motivation in my own psychic development. People might ask, why I’m giving this knowledge away for free. My answer is simple, there’s no point to keep it secret, I like helping people, I like talking to them and giving them answers they seek. And beside – I’m not giving everything away ;).
What does A State of Mind cost me?
Nothing is easy as it seems:
Money – I have to pay for advertisement, server, domain, electricity, coffee, food, even for content. Nothing is free.
Time – Articles need to be written, places to advertise need to be found, comments need to be moderated (you won’t believe how much spam is landing in my Akismet cementary), I have to chat with people to learn they opinions (and in many situations to laugh with them), I have to establish new contacts, and I have to research the field of psychics (not including practice time) – all of this cost a lot of time, sometimes few minutes, sometimes many hours (even days) to keep everything running. Did I mentioned coding and designing elements of the layout?
Personal attacks – I’ve been attacked many times, because “I’m freak”, “I’m liar”, “I’m doing this for money”, or because “I am”. Yet I’m still here, so next time when you will try to attack me, think again – because if you won’t kill me, you will only make me stronger ;).
Anything else?
With time, I might update this disclaimer, but right now you can see benefits and cost – if you thought that running A State of Mind is a piece of cake, please – think again.
