Do you have a psychic hobby? Well, that word ‘psychic’ isn’t required there, and I mean, do you have a hobby at all? I like astronomy, looking through a telescope at the night sky. My friends are playing live role playing games, running through real forest with “real” weaponry – on daily basis, one is Reiki teacher, another is a shaman.

Psychic Development Simplified
We all have some kind of hobby that isn’t really psychic or paranormal related. And even if I enjoy reading ghost stories, investigating paranormal activities, and exploring psychic phenomena, I need something more “earthly” in this life. And so do you. I know few people who thought that spirituality and the paranormal will be their full time job – and they just couldn’t make it. They needed something else, a hobby that will keep them grounded.
Here’s what I do:
- I do business for living - it can’t be really defined, because business is business :).
- I do ghost hunting for fun – because it’s fun for me.
- I observe the sky for pleasure – that’s my hobby, my grounding anchor.
And of course, I also study the paranormal, explore psychic abilities and spirituality.
So-called Reality Anchor
In reality, every single business on earth, whatever it is, need some hobby for grounding purposes. Businessman use to play golf, for example. My buddy who owns a company is big fan of reading books, and my shaman friend turns into mountain goblin from time to time. So it doesn’t matter what you do, as long as you do something for living – you need some hobby to focus upon after hours, otherwise you might gone crazy.
Think about it, would it be OK to manage a company, go back home, and think about starting another company? Thinking about one thing all over time have a clear descriptive term – obsession. Hey, it’s a first step for possession :).
- A lot of some modern e-business guidebooks tells, that you should make money out of something you love. Make money on your hobby. And yes, this is truth, and why not? As long as you just make additional income with your passion, it’s OK. But if you will turn your hobby into full-time job, you will require some new hobby to keep the balance and healthy mind.
Turning Paranormal Into Business
I see no problem in making money with paranormal as hobby, and I see nothing wrong in turning your paranormal hobby into full-time job. There are many opportunities out there, but as I said, if one day you will decide to become full time psychic for example, have some kind of additional hobby ready to focus on after hours – let it be astronomy, cooking, or something that is quite opposite to your normal job. If you’re psychic, don’t think Feng Shui will be a nice hobby, because one way or another it’s related to energy work. But building custom choppers is kind a cool idea, don’t you think?
No matter if you’re psychic, witch or just paranormal investigator, if this is your daily job, find your reality anchor, something to keep you grounded.
Do you consider anything psychic or magical as your daily job? If so, do you have some grounding hobby after hours?
