When I was just starting with my own psychic development I was lazy, not motivated enough, I was skipping my training, I doubt in my abilities, and I was expecting results to quickly. Does it sounds familiar? I’m sure it does. Those are common problems for every person that is learning psychic abilities from start. Let’s take a closer look on each of these problems.

1. Being lazy (or lack of motivation)

We can be lazy no matter what task we have to accomplish. We’re tired or maybe we have better things to do, or we just don’t want to practise. Such behaviour is normal for learning psychic abilities, too. There’s lack of proper motivation, lack of practise partner, or lack of results.

How to deal with it:

  • Tell yourself something like this: “I’m going to start this simple task with a small, imperfect step. I will feel terrific and have plenty of time to play” – then smile, and believe me – it will be enough to get motivation for practising. Such change in perspective is like tricking your mind.
  • Or you can read a book about psychic phenomena for motivation.
  • Finally you can remind yourself of your goals – why do you want to practise. A passion board can be helpful here.
  • Keep a notebook, find practise partner, or explore other ways to motivate yourself.

2. Forgetting about practise schedule

[adsensebox] We have other thing to do, a friend just came and we talked with him for hours, or we stuck in traffic. There might be many reasons for you to forget about practising or simple miss your practise time. That’s pretty normal thing and it happens to everyone.

How to deal with it:

  • There’s only one way to deal with the problem – just forgive yourself and move on. Tomorrow is another brand new day which you can use to practise. A psychic’s mind should be at peace, and forgiving yourself because something unpredictable happened is an element of achieving peaceful mind.

3. Doubt in own abilities

The reason people give up their powers is thinking they don’t have any” – what a perfect quote to demonstrate way of thinking from which many psychic practitioners suffers. Many people doubt in their skills because they’ve heard or read something, or someone criticised them.

How to deal with it:

  • Simple read the post proving to you that you are a psychic. Here’s where psychic journal comes into play, read over your psychic experiences, they’re the best motivation for psychic development you can get – because those are your own real experiences.

4. Doubt in reality of psychic phenomena

More dangerous of thinking you don’t have psychic abilities is thinking they don’t really exist. Because society believe so, or because many scientists claim that all psychic abilities are fraud. Being influenced by voices around you, you too might start to think all that you believe in might be wrong, and you’re delusional.

How to deal with it:

  • Read scientific journals describing experiments meant to prove psychic phenomena, like Journal for Psychical Research. Also read books, approaching psychic phenomena from scientific point of view.
  • Explore psychic communities, talk with people who use psychic skills daily. Search for your own, personal proofs each day.

5. Negative critics

Each one of use faces negative critics of people calling us frauds or crazy. Some of these people are just speaking aloud their opinion, some try to provide us with scientific proofs against psychic phenomena. Sometimes they just want to criticise whole fact of reality of psychic phenomena, sometimes they want to attack you personally.

How to deal with it:

  • Provide attackers with scientific proofs regarding psychic phenomena.
  • If they won’t listen, just ignore them – fighting is not worth it :). You have proofs for your abilities, so why bother?

6. Expecting results too quickly

Finally, most people who try to learn psychic abilities forgets that it takes time to learn these skills. They might expect results to appear overnight, which is literally impossible for normal development process. This leads to generating negative emotions and lack of faith in ones skills.

How to deal with it:

  • Read books, read A State of Mind and be patient – understand that it takes time to learn psychic skills, by slowly yet steady developing energy body, opening chakras and learning energy manipulation.
