I enjoy the web, to be more specific I enjoy social networks. It’s sad there’s no real social network for people interested in paranormal and the occult. I mean, there are forums, or pseudo-websites created on Ning-like sites, but it’s not the same – I’m talking here about website dedicated for paranormal community.

It wouldn’t be so hard to create such website, even if creators would use BuddyPress engine to make it :). Buy a domain (url) and let’s get to work! First, let’s specify the target. It would be a social network for people interested in paranormal: those who just like to read about weird things, and those who go to haunted locations in daily basis; paranormal investigations and people with psychic abilities; druids, witches and shamans; those who study the occult and those who deal with cryptozoology.

All these people would be able to create their own profiles, like on Facebook, our site wouldn’t be too original in this field :). Upload photo, specify location and fields of interest. The join some group – like each and every paranormal investigation group from all around the world would be able to create its own page/group on our site. This way, they would gain new contacts, find people that might be useful for these teams. Not mentioning the simple fact people would be able to create their own, unofficial groups of interest, such as “witches in europe”, heh :). People could post on forums, walls, comment photos, videos etc., and they would be able to create galleries of their supernatural gadgets, like books or ritual objects, just to have some fun, why not?

And there would be a big events board, with events from all around the globe listed in single place – you’re going for business trip, but you want to have some fun in your free time, so you’re checking the board and you see – “Paranormal Convention at 30.12.2009″ :). Hmm, yep – this would be fun…

What do you think about such dedicated social network site? Maybe we should stick with Facebook? Do you have some other ideas that could be implemented into such website?
