Through the looking-glass

Nathaniel, September 7th, 2009 ,

Imagine that I’m not who I used to be in previous entries, imagine I’m just a civilian observing the community of occultists, psychics and psychici explorers from the outside. I’m gonna use my powerful psychic skills to enter the body of such civilian now and gonna tell you what I see :).

Oh man, this is so cool! OK, so I’m a “civilian”, and my friend is a psychic, and he have few friends who deals with occult and the paranormal. What do I see? First, I see a bunch of young guys who need to get out more ;). C’mon, in this age they should be going to parties, meet with girls, y’know, engage social life. Instead, they’re sitting in their rooms, working with psychic energy (what the hell does it mean?!) and reading some strange books. Oh man, can you see all these weird symbols? How the heck are they able to memorize all of this?! I can’t remember what I had for breakfast today, and they can write a whole book just by looking on this cross symbol, this is awesome. But, no girls, no fun, who cares about this awesome memory?

On the other hand, they’re not robbing banks, nor hacking websites, right? These guys often go to a haunted houses (I guess this is what they call the “supernatural social activity”?). I asked my friend why he’s doing this and he said that he want to “touch” the unexplained. He also said they like going to haunted locations because they can help people this way – I mean, I guess this is like a… plumber y’know, you have problems with pipes, but you know who you gonna call, and they will come, share their knowledge and help you out. Sure, they do some really weird stuff (my friend often answers questions I’m yet to ask, this is weird!), they read some really weird stuff, but still – they’re not sacrificing cats on the cemetery, right?

Hey, looks whose’s here, here’s another guy – he’s 50 years old, got a wife and two kids, whoh! What’s his name? John? Oh, OK – John is an expert in demonology. Strange, but it seems he managed to get out more, after all he’s married ;). And I thought only teenagers deal with the paranormal (yea, I heard about Dean Radin, but he’s a scientists, and those are just teenagers… umm, OK, not all of them).

Well, after thinking for few minutes, this is pretty cool y’know, to explore something that is yet-to-explore. These guys do not care about society screaming “this is impossible“, the impossible is their speciality – now this is awesome! I wish I would be so brave to do this. Hey, they go to haunted locations, can you imagine me dealing with ghosts? I’m afraid of mouse! And even more, they help people, when they have problems with the paranormal, or when they just need someone to talk with (my friend, the psychic, is always full of advices and I can always count on him). There aren’t many people out there so helpful these days.

I guess being interested in the supernatural isn’t that bad after all… Still, they need to get out more :).
