Allow me to make an analysis of the success of PsiPog.net psychics website. What is the secret of this success? Well, in my opinion it is the simple fact, that PsiPog was the first one. Sure, there was (as far as I know) The Psion Guild and few other websites, but PsiPog was the first website that acctually was able to attract new members.

From the very beginning of the PsiPog history, there were interesting articles and interesting people. PsiPog have used new technologies to be in a constant contact with members (big forums, newsletter, irc meetings). But what is most important, PsiPog was teaching newbies. Yes, it was a place for newbies where they could learn the very basics of psychics. Most people who have now their own sites, begun their journey on PsiPog.

Another thing – for quite some time there were no other websites with so many cool features and so big community. So everyone sticked with Pog. And PsiPog had a nice, light layout – I don’t know why, but I think that psychics website should have a light layout, not a dark one.

Now instead of a great website we have a great legend… I would prefer a great website. Today a great website should be flexible enough to teach newbies the basics, and at the same time, teach advanced psychics advenced things. It should develop new methods of teaching (like “sound practice samples”), new methods of promotion (offline and online), create not only the online, but also an offline community, conducting research with actual data etc. Maybe someday someone will create such website…
